Who You Are In Christ

It is vitally important to know who you are in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KNJV) says 'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.' Once you make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, you have become a brand new creation in Christ. Every sin has been completely washed away. Your past is gone. Brand new creatures do not have a past, just a future, and you stand before God the Father as pure, cleansed, and whole, just like you have never done anything wrong. Glory to God! You are reborn in Christ! You are now a child of the Most High God. Romans 8:31-33 (NKJV) says 'What shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not also freely give us all things? Who can bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.' Justifies means to declare righteous. Once you ask the Father to forgive you of your sins, make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, you have just been declared righteous by God the Father! Satan himself cannot bring a charge against you because you have just been washed in the blood of the precious Lamb of God! Do you understand now? You have been reborn. You are now the redeemed of the Lord, and have been made the righteousness of God in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV) says 'For He (God) made Him (Jesus Christ) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.' Once you accept Jesus Christ as Lord, then you are given back everything that Adam handed over to Satan when he committed treason against God through disobedience. Look at Genesis 1:26-30, and you will see what was given to mankind by God. Now, you also carry the authority of the name of Jesus! Philippians 2:10-11 (NKJV) says 'that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.' We are now in Christ, and Christ is in us. Because of this, 'No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord.' Our prayer is that you begin to grasp who you are in Christ. You have authority over the enemy, sickness, disease, and you must renew your mind to the Word of God. This will help you begin to think as God thinks, and you will definitely know who you are in Christ. Satan has been defeated, and the only way he can get to you is through your thinking. But the Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 2:16 (NKJV) 'For "who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ." Once you get in the Word, and devote yourself to reading it daily, you will notice your thinking changing, your speech will change, even your actions will change. Why? Because the Word of God opens your eyes to who you are in Christ, and what you have been given because of Christ, and you are thinking just as your Father in heaven thinks and you are transformed from the inside out. We have just scratched the surface of who you are in Christ, but it gives you direction on how to learn more. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand what the Word is saying. The Holy Spirit is our helper, intercessor, standby, teacher, guide, power and will help you in every area. He wants you to know who you are in Christ, so you can show others what it is to believe in the only begotten Son of God.
