Weekly Reflection

You would be surprised how many churches do not teach on the authority of the believer. If you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, then you must know who you are in Him so you will know what you have because of Him, and the authority that has been given to you in Him. The body of Christ is exactly that; the body of the resurrected Christ. Matthew 28:18 says 'And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth." Since the Father has seated him at His right hand, and we are seated with Him in heavenly places, then we have this authority that is mentioned in Matthew 28:18. Verses 19-20 say "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Because of the authority that has been given to us, Jesus commanded us to go into all nations and teach them to observe what we have been taught. That's how you make disciples. The authority that has been given to us cannot be overturned, overruled, but must be obeyed. It is vital to know who you are in Christ so you know what you have because of Christ! I've said it several times but the devil doesn't care if you go to church; but he is terrified when a Christian knows the authority that has been given to them and who they are in Christ! Read Ephesians 1:17-23, Ephesians 3:14-21, and Colossians 1:9-13. Read them each and every day, and learn to pray them. I promise you, your life will never be the same! Then, attack the enemy in the full authority that has been given to you. Don't wait for the attack, you attack and make the devil run! Glory to God!
