Weekly Reflection

Another powerful week discussing the things of God. It all started with He is Risen, which is a celebration of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ! We call it 'Resurrection Sunday' because it is what happened. Jesus was raised from the dead, and now sits at the right hand of God the Father. Jesus finished His assignment, which was to die for all mankind, and take all sin, sickness and disease upon Himself, and nail it to the cross so we could be free from the bondage of sin. Galatians 3:13 says 'Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"). As Jesus said on the cross, "It is finished!" in John 19:30. Praise God He is alive! And because of His resurrection, we can now be saved by receiving the gift of salvation that has been made available to us by faith. Once we accept Jesus as our savior, there is much to learn, and this is why we need to renew our minds by reading the Word of God, and learning who we are in Christ. We need the spiritual wisdom offered to us through the Word of God. We need the Holy Spirit to help us, to guide us, and to teach us in the things of God. Romans 8:14 says 'For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.' Once we get in the Word, we then need to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal our gifts that God has given us. We all have a part to play in the body of Christ. Not all are hands, not all are feet, not all are eyes, but we all are a part of the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:4-6 says 'There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.' The Holy Spirit will reveal your gifts and teach you how to use them for the kingdom. This is why you need to grow spiritually, and be led by the Holy Spirit. God has a plan and a purpose for each of us. It's all about proclaiming Jesus as Lord, and the love of God! Let's reach this world for the Lord Jesus Christ!
