Weekly Reflection

This has been a wonderful week talking about how we have a new life in Christ. When we accept Jesus as our savior, all our sins get washed away and we can stand before the Father as if we had never done anything wrong! Praise the Lord for His goodness, and we need to be praising God for such wonderful grace! Jesus took our sins and gave us His righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says 'For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.' Then we asked this question; Is Jesus Lord of Your Life? You will know the answer to this question just by how you live. Do you obey what the Word says? Do you believe that Jesus is who He says He is? You will know a tree by its fruit. Jesus said in Luke 6:43-44 'For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.' If Jesus is Lord of your life then you will bear the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Your actions will speak this louder than any words you may speak. People will listen what you say, but judge you based on your actions. Do your actions speak that Jesus is Lord of your life? Faith is an action word, and faith without works is dead. Your actions show what you believe. What do your actions show?
