We finished this week discussing the fruit of the Spirit, and I pray that you were able to glean some things from these teachings, and some self-evaluating had taken place. The fruit of the Spirit should be evident in the life of every believer, and it will come about by spending time with the Lord Jesus, reading the Word and being led by the Holy Spirit. As you grow in the Lord, you will notice that as you spend time in the Word of God, that your thinking will change and will line up with what the Word says. It's a process, and it takes time because your mind has to be renewed to the Word. When you accept Jesus as your savior and have made Him Lord of your life, it's your spirit that has been born again, but your mind still thinks according to the flesh, or carnally. The only way your thinking will change is by getting in the Word, and spending time in prayer. It will happen. Romans 12:2 says 'And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.' Praise God for His Word! Hebrews 4:12-13 says 'For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.' The Word reads us, we don't read it. We partake of the Word of God because it changes us from the inside out. It gets your mind to align with your spirit, and the whole transformation process is to get us conformed to the very likeness of Jesus Christ Himself! Glory to God! And, we are going back over the authority of the believer. This is going to be a powerful, anointed journey with the result that at the end of the series, you will know how to operate in the authority that the Lord Jesus Christ has given you! I am excited to be able to teach this again, and praise God, I am praying that the Holy Spirit will open the eyes of your understanding and allow you to perceive in your heart, who you are in Christ! Praise the Lord!
