1 Corinthians 1:9 says 'God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.'
Psalm 37:3 says 'Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.' What is faithfulness? It's a lasting loyalty and trustworthiness in relationships. It's also the fact or quality of being true to one's word or commitments, as to what one has pledged to do or professes to believe. God is faithful to His Word, and to His people. Jesus is my life, my savior, my redemption, my righteousness, my source, and my hope. I trust Him with my life and He has been faithful to me over many years. His love is astounding, His peace indescribable, and His joy everlasting. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 says 'He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.' Just like the men and women that will be remembered today, Memorial Day. They were faithful to their oath which was to defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies; both foreign and domestic. They gave their all and did it willingly. We remember them for their ultimate sacrifice. It's the only day that I will not wear a veteran's hat. This day is not about the veteran's who served, but to those who paid the ultimate price in the service of their country. I praise God for His faithfulness to us and to His Word. I also praise God that we have men and women that show their faithfulness to this great, blessed country that we have. Even though the enemy has tried and is trying to destroy it, God is faithful. So, as the Word says, let's trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness (Psalm 37:3). To all the families that have lost a loved one that served in the United States military, let me say thank you so very much. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. God bless!
