The Authority of the Believer - Part 2

1 Corinthians 6:17 says 'But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.' After you become born again, you become one with Jesus Christ spiritually. Christ is in you, and you are in Christ. You and Christ are one. So, let's look at where God the Father placed Jesus Christ once He raised Him from the dead. Ephesians 1:21-23 says 'far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.' Just in these two verses, we see that Jesus Christ has been seated FAR ABOVE ALL PRINCIPALITY AND POWER AND MIGHT AND DOMINION. Then it continues in verse 22 that He put ALL THINGS UNDER HIS FEET, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body. The head and the body are one. The body cannot do without the head. So, if we are the body of Christ, then we are one with Christ, and have the authority that our head has. Get it? We are one with Jesus Christ and have been given the authority that is far above all principality, power, might and dominion, and everything has been placed under our feet. Let me say this; Satan does not care if you go to church. He does not want you to realize who you are IN CHRIST! Jesus Christ has achieved total victory over the enemy, sickness, disease, and all this mess has been placed under our feet! We operate from a stance of victory, not for victory. Once you come to realize that you are more than a conqueror in Christ, and that you operate in authority that the enemy must heed, then the devil cannot touch you. I can prove this. You have authority over the enemy, and in 1 John 5:18 it says 'We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.' That's from the word. How do you keep yourself? By staying in the Word of God, being in obedience to His commands, listening to the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to lead, and staying close to God. This is a relationship and it will only grow by fellowship. I know that I just walked all over some real religious junk and stepped on some toes, but God will heal your feet! Praise God for His Word!
