Let me tell you what the Lord told me about Isaiah 55 verse 11. The NKJV says 'So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.' This was the Lord speaking to the prophet Isaiah about what He says, and it started with 'So shall My word be.' In other words, whatever the Lord says, shall be. Then the Lord goes on to say 'it shall not return to Me void.' Whatever the Lord speaks will happen and will return to Him with the desired result. So, we are created in His image and His likeness. We are a speaking spirit, just like our Father. We need to be paying close attention to what we speak, because there is power behind it. Creative power. How do I know this? The Word says in Romans 8 verse 11 'But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you...' Let's stop right there for just a moment. The very same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead; that very same power dwells in us! So, if resurrection power dwells in us, then how much weight do you suppose your words carry? This is why we should be speaking the Word. When you speak exactly like your Father, it is going to happen. You can be guaranteed of that! Numbers 23 verse 19 says 'God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? In the second part of Isaiah 46 verse 11, it says 'Indeed I have spoken it. I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it.' You will have what you say. Whether it be positive or negative, it will happen. Watch what you say. Speak the Word! We will continue on this subject this week. Praise the Lord!
