Romans 5:8 (NKJV) says 'But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.' Jesus said in Matthew 26:28 (NKJV) 'For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.' Jesus suffered the agony and shame of the cross as He bore the sins of the world. Isaiah 53:4-5 (NKJV) says 'Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.' Jesus paid the penalty for our sin. Because of His sacrifice, once we accept His sacrifice and receive forgiveness for our sins, we are reconciled to the Father. The blood of Jesus washes our sins away and God the Father will remember them no more. It is like we have never done anything wrong, and we can stand before the Father as pure, redeemed sons and daughters. Praise God! This great salvation is a free gift to us, but it cost Jesus everything. This is how God demonstrates His love toward us. Jesus took our place. Jesus bore our infirmities, sickness, disease, and our death, and gave us His righteousness, healing, and wholeness. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 puts it plainly. It says (NKJV) 'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we night become the righteousness of God in Him.' The price has been paid. All you have to do is accept the gift, and it is free! Salvation came at a great price, and it is yours, all you have to do is ask. John 3:16 (NKJV) says 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.' Have you made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life? Have you asked the Father to forgive you of your sins, and that you accept the free gift of salvation that is only offered by the cleansing power of the blood of Christ? You can, right now. Just pray this simple, but heartfelt prayer. 'Father, I ask you to forgive me of my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son, and that He died for my sins, and He was raised from the dead. Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart, and be Lord of my life. Thank you Jesus for dying for me. Thank you Jesus for loving me. I will serve You from this day forward. In Jesus name, amen.' If you prayed that prayer, please, let us know, and welcome to the family of God! Your life will never be the same again.
