Rest in the Lord

Psalm 37:7 (NKJV) says, 'Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.' Have you ever had situations arise that you just did not know how to handle, or what to do? My favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 and the NIV says it this way; 'For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope, and a future.' I find comfort in the first few words where the Lord says, 'For I know the plans I have for you....' God has my life all planned out, and when I completely trust Him, it brings me such a peace because I know that He has plans. God is never taken by surprise; He knows my first day and my last, and every day in between. He knows everything about me and everything that I will face. I don't have to be concerned or stress over anything because He has me in the palm of His hand. 1 Peter 5:7 (AMP) says, 'Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.' Notice it says all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all on Him. Give them all to Jesus and rest in His arms. Knowing that He has you and everything concerned with you. He loves you more than words can express. Trust Him, and rest knowing that He has plans for you and your future.
