Prayer is the Key

Philippians 4:6-7 says 'Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.' Here we see that we are instructed to not be anxious for anything, and to take everything to God in prayer and supplication. Supplication means to pray humbly, make humble and earnest entreaty or petition. But you also notice that it says to also give thanks when we pray and seek God's face. Why? Because we know that He hears us. We know that we serve a good Father, and that He loves us so very dearly. I John 5:14-15 says 'Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.' God answers prayer. Prayer is our communication with God, and He loves to speak with us. He desires to spend time with us, and that's why Jesus came to deliver us from sin; so our relationship could be restored with the Father and we could come to Him at anytime. Go to the Lord in prayer. Seek His face, and humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:6-7). The Lord is our provider, our strength, our comfort, our strong tower, our refuge. Come to Him and allow Him to completely transform your life. Communicate with Him daily and as often as you can. He is always there, and will listen to everything you have to say. Isn't that what a loving Father does? He listens to His children. He is there to comfort, to correct, to instruct, to guide, and to love unconditionally. Have the confidence knowing that you can come to Jesus at anytime. He is always available. He is always just a prayer away.
