Love is a choice, and action is taken upon that choice. God chose us. Romans 5:6-9 (TPT) says 'For when the time was right, the Anointed One came and died to demonstrate his love for sinners who were entirely helpless, weak, and powerless to save themselves. Now, who of us would dare to die for the sake of a wicked person? We can all understand if someone was willing to die for a truly noble person. But Christ proved God's passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly! And there is still much more to say of his unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declarations, "You are now righteous in my sight." And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God.' Glory to God! But you must choose. No one can choose for you. The choice is yours and yours alone. God chose you. Will you choose His free gift of salvation that has been made available through the shed blood of Jesus Christ? Ephesians 2:8 says 'For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.' Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.' The choice is ours. The Lord said in Deuteronomy 30:19 "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants may live." Notice it says 'have set', which means everything has been done for you, and all you have to do is choose. The Lord made His choice, and it was you! Praise God! Love is a choice. 1 John 4:19 says 'We love Him because He first loved us.' Love makes a choice.
