Is Jesus Lord of Your Life?

This is a question that needs asking; especially today with all the distractions, hatred, and so much disparaging news. Is Jesus Lord of your life? Do you completely trust His capable hands to get you through whatever you face? These are tough questions, but, if we are honest, we know the answer. When Jesus is Lord of your life, it doesn't matter what is going on in your life; you turn to Him. It's easy to say, but much harder to do. Romans 4:20-22 says 'He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore "it was accounted to him for righteousness." Abraham waited for over 20 years for the promise of Isaac, and a few years later, God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac. Have you ever been asked to sacrifice a child? Abraham trusted God, and obeyed. And just at the time that Abraham was going to sacrifice Isaac, an angel of God stopped him. God made a promise to Abraham, and He kept it. Abraham believed God. It's called faith. Faith to believe that Jesus has you no matter what circumstance you are in, no matter how you feel, or what it looks like. Jesus is Lord, and nothing will change that except you. Do you believe? Hebrews 3:12 says 'Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.' Jesus said in John 16:33 'These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.' Remember when we discussed James 1:2 where the Word says 'My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials?' Remember, we are being conformed to the Lord Jesus Christ, and He told us in John 15:20 'Remember the word that I said to you, 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.' God has a plan and a purpose for each of us, and there are no surprises with the Lord. He sees everything, knows everything, and knows how to watch over you and keep you right in the palm of His hand. 1 John 5:5 says 'Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?' If you truly believe in Jesus, and have made Him Lord of your life, then greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
