2 Chronicles 7:14 says 'If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.' Notice, it says if My people, which means the believer in Jesus. This verse deals with a conditional promise. The condition here is for the people of God to humble themselves, pray, seek the face of God, and turn from their wicked ways. Then, once we have repented, then God says that He would hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land. It's precisely what we need right now. The church has not stood up against the evil that is in this world, and has allowed wickedness to prosper. We are now at a place where it will be God and God alone that will heal this nastiness and purge the evil that is being celebrated and even allowed in the church itself. Sin is sin, and nothing will change that. You can change the name to justify your actions, but if it is called sin in the Word, then it is sin. We are to be transformed by the renewing of OUR mind, and not try and conform the Word to accept what we lust after. The Word says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 that 'All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.' We need the Word of God to train us in how we should live each and every day for the Lord. The church should be teaching the Word of God uncompromisingly, unashamedly, and with passion and under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Once we put God first, and everything else second; then we will see our land healed and restored. It's what the Word tells us in 2 Chronicles 7:14. It starts with the body of Christ humbling ourselves, and repenting for our wicked ways, and seeking the face of God, then the Lord will hear from heaven, He will forgive our sins, and will heal our land. The Word has the answers to every situation life has to offer. We must be about our Father's business. I say this to all ministers of the gospel. 2 Timothy 4:1-5 'Timothy, in the presence of our great God and our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who is destined to judge both the living and the dead by the revelation of his kingdom - I solemnly instruct you to proclaim the Word of God and stand upon it no matter what! Rise to the occasion and preach when it is convenient and when it is not. Preach in the full expression of the Holy Spirit - with wisdom and patience as you instruct and teach the people. For the time is coming when they will no longer listen and respond to the healing words of truth because they will become selfish and proud. They will seek out teachers with soothing words that line up with their desires, saying just what they want to hear. They will close their ears to the truth and believe nothing but fables and myths. So be alert to all these things and overcome every form of evil. Carry in your heart the passion of your calling as a church planter and evangelist, and fulfill your ministry calling.'
