Matthew 28:5-7 says 'But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you." I know that this is past Resurrection Sunday, but praise God that Jesus Christ has risen from the grave! What does that mean for us? All sin, sickness, disease has been defeated. Romans 8:10-11 says 'And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.' Once you accept Jesus as your savior, the sin problem has been dealt with. You have been born again (spirit) and you are now washed clean. You then must renew your mind by spending time each day in the Word of God, and get your mind and your spirit to line up. Verses 13 and 14 of Romans 8 says 'For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.' Do you know what the enemy of God is? It's not Satan; he has been defeated. It's not sin; it's been defeated. It's not sickness; it's been defeated. So, what is the enemy of God? Romans 8:7 says 'Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.' Enmity means a feeling or condition of hostility; hatred; ill will; animosity; and antagonism. This is why we must change our thinking to line up with God's Word, and the only way that will happen is to renew your mind. It's because that Christ Jesus has risen from the grave that we can walk in total victory in this life. It's why Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father. The work has been done, and all we have to do is believe, receive, and tell others the good news of the gospel. The sin problem has been dealt with. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ that He is risen and because He is risen, we have the victory!
