Growing Spiritually

As we continue to talk about growing spiritually, let's go to Colossians 1:9-14. The Word says 'For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long-suffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.' So, not only can we be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, but look at all the other things that has been made available to us through the blood of Jesus. We can be fully pleasing unto the Lord. We can be fruitful in every good work and increase in the knowledge of God. I want all the knowledge of God that the Lord will give me. The more I know the more I can share. He also gives us strength according to His glorious power. Imagine being strengthened with the power of God. You are! You have the Holy Spirit dwelling on the inside of you and that is the very same power that raised Christ from the dead! He lives in you! That power is made available to you! The Holy Spirit goes wherever you go. God has also qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. We also have redemption and forgiveness through the blood of Christ. We have also been transferred into the kingdom of the Son of His love, all because of the blood of Jesus. It's all about knowing who you are IN CHRIST! There is so much that has been given to you, through Christ. This is why we need to be thankful unto the Father who has made redemption and restoration available to everyone. His love is evident through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ! It's all a gift, and it's why we all need to grow spiritually!
