Psalm 107:1-2 says 'Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.' Because of the selfless sacrifice of Jesus, we have been redeemed, and we need to say so. Shout it out that you are the redeemed of the Lord, and have been made the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus! That is something to shout about! What joy to know that we have been saved from the clutches of the enemy, and are now made alive in Christ! There is joy in knowing that you are loved by Almighty God! We should be very thankful unto God for His love and for the love of Jesus. Psalm 107 verses 8, 15, 21 and 31 say 'Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!' Are you thankful for what the Lord has done for you? Are you thankful that you can be saved from an eternity of separation from Almighty God? It's our choice to accept Jesus and the redeeming power of His blood; and, it's still our choice to reject Him, His love, His forgiveness and spend an eternity in hell; eternally separated from God. It's because of Jesus that I am alive! It's because of Jesus that I have been set free from a very nasty past! It's because of Jesus that I can write to you what the Word says and explain how the love of Christ can set you free from the bondage of this world, and the hatred of the enemy that has filled the hearts of so many that need Jesus. It's because of Jesus that anyone can come to the Father and receive forgiveness, be cleansed, and made a child of the Most High God! It's called Grace! Grace is unmerited favor, and receiving what you don't deserve. Mercy is not receiving what you do deserve. Psalm 107:20 says 'He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.' God has saved us from ourselves, and we need to be truly thankful. Inside every one of us, there is a longing for something more. That has been placed there by God Himself, and He is the only one that can fill it. He loves you too much for you to die in your sins, but it is still your choice. Only God satisfies the longing soul. Choose life; choose Jesus!
