Getting our Doctrine Straight

2 Timothy 4:3-5 says 'For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.' I truly believe that we have entered into the time that there are people who are behind pulpits teaching things that they have no idea what they are teaching. I can assure you it is not the Word of God. Now, I am not saying this about all pulpits, but you can see with churches closing, attendance to church decreasing, and fellowshipping dropping, that the Lord is not in it. People will say that the so called 'pandemic' is the cause. The blood of Christ is stronger than any disease that is out there, and sickness and disease was defeated by the stripes that Christ bore on His back. Man tried to close the church, and there were Pastors that said absolutely not! Praise God for these men and women of the Most High God! We are going to preach the gospel and no one, no pandemic is going to close the doors of the church. Those churches are thriving and want to know why? It's because they believe the Word of God and trust Him. Acts 4:17-19 says 'But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name. And they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said to them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge." The body of Christ must be about the Father's business. Jesus Christ did not come to save us to hide from things that He has already dealt with. You decide whom you will serve. Whether God or man. Just remember, Jesus had to come because of man. Let's get our doctrine (teaching) straight and do exactly what the Word says to do. The time is short and there are a lot of people that need to hear about the salvation that has been made available to them by the precious blood of Jesus! You need to be attending a Bible teaching church. Not one that is more concerned about the color of the carpet than the people who are in dire need not only inside but also outside the walls of the church. We are the church! Not the building. The building is the place in which we gather together in one accord to worship, praise, and thank the Lord Jesus Christ, and to glorify the Father who sent the Lord to take our place. Let's get into the Word and allow the Holy Spirit to direct what exactly needs to get done. He will guide you into all truth, and show you things to come (John 16:13).
