Ephesians 2 verses 8 and 9 (NKJV) say ‘For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast’. You can never be good enough, work hard enough or
even sacrifice enough to earn salvation. Salvation only comes by faith in Jesus Christ. It’s a free gift from God the Father. The power of the cross made it possible to receive salvation. Romans 10 verse 9 and 10 (NKJV), teaches us ‘that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation’. So, it’s not by works but by faith. What is faith? It is simply believing with your heart, and then acting upon it (confessing with your mouth) which allows you to be saved. The two (believing and confessing) work together for your salvation. God offers forgiveness of our sins paid for by the
death of His Son Jesus Christ, as a free gift to all while will receive it by faith. Can you receive His free gift? John 3 verse 16 (NKJV) says ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life’. By Grace We Are Saved!
