Acts 4:29-30 says 'Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.' We need to be speaking the Word of God under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and with the boldness of a lion. Paul asked the Ephesians to pray for him in chapter 6:18-20, where he said 'praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints - and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.' These verses are right after he instructed the Ephesians to put on the whole armor of God. We are in the midst of one of the most intense spiritual warfares that we have known. It is not a time to be timid, but boldly go and proclaim what the Word of God says. We are not all called to be in the five fold ministry, but we are all called to be ministers of reconciliation. Let's not only tell the world about Jesus, but let's show them the love of Christ. 1 John 3:17-18 says 'But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.' This is why I say that what you believe will be seen. Anyone can talk the talk, but how many do you see walk the walk? I ran from the Lord for years because I didn't want to be laughed at or mocked because I was a Christian. Praise the Lord Jesus for His mercy and long-suffering with me! It's because of the love of Christ that I can minister to others. It's because of the love I was shown that I can show others the love of Christ! It's because of Jesus that I can bear with others, because of the forbearance that the Lord showed me! I love Him because He first loved me (1 John 4:19)! It's what happens on the inside that everyone will see on the outside. I must be about the Lord's business of telling everyone about the love of Christ! Be bold!
