Authority of the Believer - Part 3

Luke 10:19 (TPT) says 'Now you understand that I have imparted to you all my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses.' Impart means to give, to bestow, to grant a part or share of. We share in the authority that Jesus has. Remember Matthew 28:18 says 'And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth." Notice it says that 'All authority' has been given unto Jesus, and this authority has been given unto us to carry on the work that Jesus began. Satan has been defeated, and remember that I told you that he doesn't even have the keys to his own kingdom. When Jesus came out of hell, He took the keys to death, hell, and the grave with Him. This means Satan doesn't even have the keys to his own kingdom. His kingdom has been totally and utterly defeated, and we can walk in the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ and continue the great works that Jesus had begun, because Jesus utterly destroyed the power of the enemy! The only power he could ever have is that which you or I give him. Jesus said in John 14:12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." We have been commissioned by Jesus to go and do greater works, to carry on, and we are able to do these works because we have been given the authority of the resurrected Savior! Glory to God! If this doesn't make you happy, then I don't know what will! The authority of the believer will not fail because it has been granted to us by the Lord Jesus Christ; and His authority is supreme. Daniel 7:13-14 says 'I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.' Nothing can come against the kingdom of God! He reigns Supreme, and His authority has been delegated to us. No evil can stop it! No weapon can come against it! And we are victorious because we operate from a stance of victory, not for victory! Are you beginning to understand now? We will discuss where we are seated in Christ on the next blog, and I am excited about discussing this with you! Praise the Lord!
