As You Have Believed, So Let it be Done for You

Matthew 8:18 says 'Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you." And his servant was healed that same hour.' According to the Word, Jesus had made this same statement to several other people, and it is a powerful statement that is still so very true today. As you have believed, so let it be done for you. Some translations say done unto you, or as you will; but think about this for a moment. As you have believed. What do you believe? The Word says this in Mark 11:23 about midway through the verse. Jesus is teaching His disciples and says this, "and does not doubt in his heart BUT BELIEVES that those things he says will come to pass, HE WILL HAVE WHATEVER HE SAYS." (emphasis mine). I'm going to stomp on some religious mess right here, and I really want you to pay attention and have ears to hear. What you say matters. You speak what you believe. The words of Jesus Christ just told us that we shall have whatsoever we say. This works in the negative just as much as in the positive. Think about it. You are created in the very image and likeness of God Himself. We are speaking spirits and there is creative weight in our words, and they are filled with power. It is vitally important to pay attention to every word spoken. Matthew 12:36-37 says 'But I say to you that for every idle word men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.' All words of Jesus. In verse 34 of Matthew 12, Jesus told us that 'out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.' What are you speaking? Search your heart and ask for direction, and if need be, repent. I've had to learn this the hard way and I am still learning this. I have learned to bite my tongue. I refuse to do anything other than what the Word of God teaches. I refuse to compromise what the Word says and bless God I will speak what the Word speaks! So, again my friends, what do you believe? What are you speaking? Does it line up with the Word or are you speaking idle words? Ask Holy Spirit to help you. He will. As you have believed, so let it be done for you.
